Mozilla launched a few days ago their SDK for Jetpack. Jetpack is “a new extension platform that allows developers to rapidly add exciting new features and functionality to Mozilla applications” (such as Firefox or Thunderbird). The new SDK is meant to replace the Jetpack prototype framework that’s been available until now. The SDK is in it’s early stages and does not currently provide an API for building rich add-ons. You can check out the roadmap for details on what’s coming when on Jetpack. Until then, I’ll be soon posting a tutorial on installing the SDK locally, and we’ll be developing together our first Jetpack add-on.

Hi there, this is my first blog post. I want to get past the unnecessary, cheesy, introductory post as quick as I can. This blog is dedicated to sharing to you, the reader, about web development and design, technology and personal thoughts. It’s meant to become a place for me to communicate and interact with the huge, constantly growing community of web developers and designers. Hope you’ll enjoy my posts.
